TARGET AUDIENCE

This introduction course will appeal to those graduates and young professionals who are new to the industry, or who are employed in areas unrelated to the insurance process, such as analysts, accountants, HR, training and facilities. If delegates wish to know more about the reinsurance product we will talk in general about this, but we will mainly explore the way the courts had to interpret policies written to help resolve the crisis formed by the markets in the last quarter of the 20th Century.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

On completion of this session delegates will have some basic knowledge of classes of business written in the London Market and how London’s ability to underwrite large numbers as well as complicated polices have driven changes. Delegates will hear from an experienced litigator and claims director on how the UK court and arbitration process developed reinsurance law: from “no law to settled law”

All workshop trainers are senior market practitioners with practical and contemporaneous experience in their professional fields, and their real life practical responses to some of the workshops do’s and don’ts will help every delegate
